Strong partners

For us it’s essential to have contact to other networks, associations and special interest groups to share and exchange knowledge. For this reason, we are members/partners of:

AGeNT-D
Within the AGeNT-D – the Project Group of the Nanotechnology Competence Centres of Germany -, each centre is responsible for a special issue. We work on the issue „Teachers, schools and further education“. We provide schools with teaching material and information and organise advanced vocational training for teachers, technicians and scientists.

Bio Deutschland e. V.
The work group of Germany’s biotechnical regions provide us with information from Bio Deutschland e. V. Activities– to name but a few: discussions and exchange with industrial and political representatives, networking, or the positioning of Germany’s biotechnology.

Biopher – Verein zur Förderung der Biowissenschaften e. V.
Biopher, with its headquarters in Homburg, supports the cooperation of schools, universities, research institutes, industry and administration in the field of bioscience.

European Technology Platform – Nanomedicine
The European Technology Platform of Nanomedicine is an initiative launched by industrial companies, supported by the European Commission, which works on the implementation of nanotechnical applications in medicine to open up new possibilities for the health care system of the 21st century.

Initiative MINT "Zukunft schaffen"
Germany as a business location is suffering from the lack of junior scientific staff having MINT qualifications (mathematics, information technology, natural sciences, and technology). This lack of qualified experts in the field of science and technology is a structural problem. The “MINT – Shaping the future” initiative is proposed to enhance positive changes in the future. Martin, Monzel, the executive manager of NanoBioNet, works as the spokesman of the MINT initiative.

KompetenznetzeDeutschland
The German Ministry of Economy and Technology has launched the KompetenznetzeDeutschland initiative which connects the most innovative and efficient technological competence networks in Germany. KompetenznetzeDeutschland is located at the VDI/VDE Innovation + Technik GmbH.

Kompetenzzentrum Molekulare Medizin (KoMM)
KoMM’s aim is to bundle up the existing resources in molecular medicine to improve technology transfer and to promote young scientists and researchers.

Nano4women
This career network is supported by the German Ministry of Education and Research and is dedicated to promote women in the field of nanotechnology. The programme’s highlight is the start-up initiative “NEnA”, the Nano-Entrepreneurship-Academy.

Science on Stage e. V.
Nanotechnology is not a school subject – in none of the 16 German states. However, teachers can integrate interesting nanotechnological topics in their lessons – by letting students do experiments or by organising a seminar. To narrow the gap between science and school we have a partnership with the Science on Stage Association.

BioNanoNet
BioNanoNet is an Austrian Network which combines a wide range of expertise in numerous disciplines of medical and pharmaceutical research in nanomedicine and nanotoxicology.
The BioNanoNet GmbH has the clear aim of driving innovative interdisciplinary research by supporting the cooperation and synergy of collaboration, to initiate national and international research projects in the area of medical and pharmaceutical research in nanomedicine and nanotoxicology and to set up and coordinate projects.
